This editorial came from a creative space of craving a different perspective on jewel tones and florals. While I love the soft and neutral colors that have been so popular the past couple of seasons, Jaclyn of The Glamour Effect and I wondered what was next. What comes after the beautiful watercolor inspired designs? So we envisioned a moodier scene of darker florals, bolder statement pieces while still being shot in a luminous setting…

The shawl the bride is wearing was used as the statement piece that served as the inspiration for the rest of the details. Having one detail that means something to the couple or captures the mood they want for their wedding makes the decor process so much easier, they can then hold every other detail in the wedding up to that.
